Using the In‑Person Scribe Feature

In-Person Scribe

The In-Person Scribe allows you to record and transcribe real-time conversations during any in-person encounter. This feature makes it easy to capture accurate notes, generate summaries, and ask follow-up questions without interrupting the flow of the interaction.

Multilingual Live Transcription

For Pro and Full users, In-Person Scribe supports multilingual live transcription.

Live transcriptions automatically detect and transcribe conversations in multiple languages, without requiring any manual configuration changes.

Supported languages include:

  • English

  • Spanish

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Portuguese

The system automatically detects the spoken language and transcribes it in real time, allowing you to capture accurate notes even in multilingual or non-English encounters.

Getting Started

  1. Press the Record Button
Simply click the Record button to begin capturing the conversation.

  2. Speak Naturally
Once recording starts, CompliantChatGPT automatically transcribes the dialogue in real time. You will see the text appear as you speak.

  3. Pause and Resume Anytime
Need a break? Hit Pause to stop recording temporarily, then resume when you're ready to continue.

After the Recording

Review and Edit the Transcript

When you're finished, the complete transcription will be available for review. You can:

  • Edit any portion of the text

  • Correct mistakes

  • Add missing details

  • Delete or rearrange content as needed

Use the Transcript in Chat

Once you’ve reviewed the transcript, you can:

  • Send it directly into a chat to start working with CompliantChatGPT

  • Ask specific questions about the recorded encounter, such as:

    • "Summarize the key points"

    • "What were the action items?"

    • "Generate clinical notes from this conversation"

Currently the platform does not allow you to ask questions while recording but you can pause and resume the audio at any point.

Best Practices

  • Make sure you have your microphone permissions on to use this feature

  • Position your device where it can clearly capture audio.

  • Speak naturally and clearly for the best transcription quality.

Review the text before sending it to ensure accuracy in sensitive or clinical environments.
