Supported File Types

CompliantChatGPT allows you to upload documents, images, audio, and text files directly into the chat. This allows the AI to review, interpret, summarize, or work with your files just like a colleague would.

File Upload Limits per Message

The number of files you can attach in a single message depends on your plan:

  • Starter: up to 1 file per message

  • Pro: up to 3 files per message

  • Full: up to 3 files per message

Each file must respect the size and page limits defined in the table above.

File Upload Limits per Conversation

Across an entire conversation, the following limits apply:

  • PDF files: up to 500 total pages or 50 MB per conversation

This conversation-level limit applies to all plans

Once the conversation limit is reached, you will need to start a new conversation to upload additional PDF content.

Uploading Files in a Custom Mode

If you're setting up a custom mode, you can attach supporting files to help the AI follow specific guidelines or templates.

You can upload:

  • Files that follow the same file size and page limits defined in the Supported File Types table above, based on your plan.

These files help the mode stay consistent with your clinical workflows, preferred formats, or internal guidelines. When you use a custom mode, you don’t need to re-upload the document each time. Files attached to a custom mode are stored separately and aren’t subject to your data retention limits.
